Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is already four years old. The unlikely combination of Minion-esque Rabbids, Nintendo’s most famous mascot, and tactical turn-based strategy was an immediate hit thanks to excellent design and incredible amounts of heart and charm. Four years later, the game has sold over seven million copies and has a sequel on the way. To celebrate the game’s fourth birthday, the official Twitter account for the series tweeted out a happy message and some fun artwork.
4 years ago, Mario and his team joined forces with the mischievous Rabbids… willingly. ? It's been such a fun journey, and we're excited to continue it with you all! ? #MarioRabbids pic.twitter.com/H72glFpw5E

The artwork is colorful and fun, just like Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. Already four years old, it’s bewildering to see how far this game was able to come – of course, it isn’t that surprising to see a game with Mario in it sell and review well, but the strange choice of partnership and genre makes its success very nice to see. With Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope now on the horizon, the future looks bright for Mario’s Rabbid partnership.
