Lucario Confirmed for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS

If you thought Lucario was fierce in Brawl, think again – the Aura Pokemon returns to the Smash Bros. roster with increased power and a high definition upgrade.

\”Pic of the day. The heroic Aura Pokemon, Lucario, joins the battle!! We\’ve increased the influence of Aura this time, so a damaged Lucario is truly a force to be reckoned with.\”

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Lucario used aura to damage opponents with moves like his Aura Sphere. Most, if not all, of his attacks involved aura, which increased his power over time depending on how much damage Lucario had. The higher the percent, the more damage Lucario could deal out. Lucario gained strength even when down in stock count, making comebacks with Lucario always part of the equation as only a few accurate hits could put you back in the game.

A damaged Lucario was already a forced to be reckoned with, so a buff to Lucario’s aura should be a warning to any would-be opponents.

In the provided screenshots, it seems like Lucario is retaining his Brawl moveset – here, he uses his down smash and Up-B, Extremespeed, as they functioned in Brawl. His Aura Sphere also returns, as does his down-B special, Double Team, which is still a counter.

Lucario’s official reveal can be found over at the official Super Smash Bros. site. Maybe we\’ll see Lucario take advantage of some Lucarionite in the near future?
