Fans are remaking Link’s Awakening with SNES graphics for some reason

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening remake ZeldaForce A Link to the Dream

The remake of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening for Switch has long-time fans peeing their pants with excitement. So it’s really peculiar that a group of fans has gotten together to remake Link’s Awakening on their own with graphics borrowed from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on Super Nintendo. The group is called ZeldaForce, the project is called “A Link to the Dream,” and the intent is to release for Windows, MacOS, and AmigaOS. I would describe the results so far as “so-so.”

Of course, the big question here isn’t really, “Will this game be good?” Rather, the question is how far into development this game will get before Nintendo shuts it down hard with a classic cease-and-desist. So if you dig this ZeldaForce project, keep close tabs on it while you can — I can’t imagine it will ever see the light of day as a finished project.
