Square Enix has announced a new release date for Life is Strange: Remastered Collection on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC via Steam, and Stadia: February 1, 2022. The collection contains Life is Strange Remastered and Life is Strange: Before the Storm Remastered, and it will include remastered character and environment visuals, a new engine and lighting upgrades, new fully motion-captured facial animation in Life is Strange, and “Deluxe” content for Before the Storm, including “outfits, ‘Farewell’ episode, (and a) Zombie Crypt outfit.”
Life is Strange: Remastered Collection was originally supposed to launch this month, around the time of new title Life is Strange: True Colors, but the release date was delayed so as to give the developers breathing room to get everything right. Nonetheless, while True Colors released on all its other platforms this month, the Nintendo Switch version of that game was also delayed. Now, True Colors is coming to Switch at some unspecified time later this year. However, the game received a positive critical reception on its other platforms, so it should be worth the wait.
Meanwhile, the games included in Life is Strange: Remastered Collection already come acclaimed, so the bottom line is you will be enjoying a lot of narrative adventure stories on Switch soon.
