Way back in January, Lego Marvel Super Heroes received a Nintendo Switch ESRB rating. And now, finally, Warner Bros. Games, TT Games, the Lego Group, and Marvel Entertainment have announced that Lego Marvel Super Heroes will indeed launch on Switch, with a release date of October 5, 2021. This is a port of an eight-year-old game, but the sequel actually came to Switch back in 2017. Still, much like with the port announcement of Darksiders III, this is a win for Lego game completionists.
When it launches in October, Lego Marvel Super Heroes will bring the following previously released DLC along for the ride:
- LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Super Pack: Get ready for brick-smashing action with more Super Heroes and Super Villains, plus new vehicles and races. Play as fan favorites Dark Phoenix, Winter Soldier, Symbiote Spider-Man, Hawkeye, Falcon, and Beta Ray Bill.
- LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Asgard Pack: Wreak havoc as the vengeful Malekith and the villainous LEGO minifigure, Kurse. Play as Jane Foster and the shield-maiden of Asgard, Sif. Defend the Universe with Odin and the Warriors Three: Volstagg, Hogun, and Fandral.
More than 100 total characters will be playable, so it should go be a decent time-waster for children, at the very least. Meanwhile, the long wait for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga continues.
