Wow, talk about sneaking up on you. I had almost forgotten Pokémon Legends: Arceus launches at the end of this month. Knowing this, Nintendo of America has blessed us with a trailer for Arceus that gives us a taste of what to expect. Though short, it does a good job of showing a combination of gameplay and cinematics.
It’s nice to get the brand new Pokémon Legends: Arceus so soon after the Diamond/Pearl remasters
Here is the aforementioned trailer:
Did you see the trainer get wrecked in that one shot? This is what I have always wanted in a Pokémon title: the ability for the monsters to attack you directly. You can no longer hide behind a Pokémon of your own; if you disturb the wildlife, it will come for you.
As you can see, the land of Hisui, in Arceus‘ timeframe, has undomesticated Pokémon. This looks to be the first adventure in the series’ timeline where trainers catch the critters and start forming bonds with them. Also featured in the video are materials used for crafting and the fact you are completing the very first Pokédex. All in all, this looks to be a fresh perspective for a franchise that has had the same core gameplay for a number of years.
Enthusiasts, do you believe the Pokémon Legends: Arceus trailer does a fine job of showcasing the game’s uniqueness? Let us know below.
