Gotta leak ’em all: New Pokemon potentially discovered

It’s getting harder to keep a secret these days. A recent leak in the network traffic of Pokémon GO might have revealed a brand new Pokemon for the upcoming Switch releases Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee!

What am I even looking at?

The above tweet from user Chrales showcases the potential Pokemon. The two pictures are presumably a shiny and non-shiny variant of the creature. Additionally, Chrales discovered the leak, labeled as “kecleon,” has unity files that are tagged with “pokémon 891.” Officially, Pokemon is at number 807 in regards to total creatures, so 891 might signify a bunch of new Pokemon being revealed in the future. However, Kecleon is a Gen III Pokemon, and this…thing…looks nothing like it. Maybe it’s a bizarre evolution gone incredibly wrong?

I don’t know what to make of the leaked monstrosity. To me, it looks more like a placeholder than an actual new Pokemon. A Ditto with a golden nut for a head that protects a blackened Eye of Sauron. Then again, we’ve seen questionable design choices in the Pokemon series before, so this can very well be legit. Besides the picture, we have no other information from which to speculate.

Pokemon Let’s Go: Pikachu and Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee will come out November 16, 2018. If the above Pokemon is indeed real, it will either be announced slightly before release or post-launch. One thing it will not be is a surprise.

What do you gentle readers think? Is this Pokemon the real deal? Some jumbled up parts like MissingNo.? Let us know your thoughts below.
