Enthusiasts, are you enjoying Smash Bros. Ultimate‘s latest combatant, Joker? He takes a while to get used to, so perhaps you are anxiously awaiting more information on the rest of Ultimate‘s DLC roster. Fortuitously, a unique message from the game’s director, Masahiro Sakurai, was allegedly shared to special fans via Twitter. This message contains hints on what’s in Ultimate‘s future, as well as a surprise regarding the title’s launch.
Give us those sweet launch information scraps
The following Tweet was sent to Ultimate fanatics in Japan, and was translated by PushDustIn:
This was sent on Smash release date to ?? users:
Right now the team and I are working on the DLC. This includes the already announced Joker from Persona 5, fighter #2, fighter #3 and one more thing (translation note: literally ???, something). Please look forward to the DLC! pic.twitter.com/U8L4tX73NO

Man, Sakurai and his team never sleep. They must be vampires.
The most interesting thing about this message is that it was sent to gamers when Ultimate launched. Therefore, three of the five DLC fighters have been dutifully worked on for months. Perhaps we will hear concrete details on these characters sooner than later. E3, perhaps?
Additionally, “one more thing” most likely refers to the Stage Builder that was recently added to the game. I mean, I’ll continue to fantasize about the return of BREAK THE TARGETS and BOARD THE PLATFORM. The fondness for the N64 original never goes away.
Even though readers should take this news with a grain of salt, are you excited about the possibility of getting more warriors added to Smash Bros. Ultimate in the near future? Tell us your thoughts by leaving a comment below.
