Kingdom Come: Deliverance is coming to Switch according to Nintendo Japan

Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition Switch

Although it’s not been formally announced just yet, it looks like Nintendo Switch players may go hands-on with a new RPG next month. Warhorse Studios’ Kingdom Come: Deliverance launched a few years ago on PC and console, and according to the official Nintendo Japan release schedule, theĀ Royal Edition of the game is apparently coming to Nintendo Switch next. If true, this would be another impressive port for the handheld system.

The Nintendo Japan release schedule includes all of the upcoming Switch releases for 2021 and beyond. Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition makes an appearance, scheduled to release on Feb. 18, 2021. There’s no store link or artwork provided, unlike with many of the releases listed, but it’s there nonetheless.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance took a slightly different approach for a Western open-world RPG. The team emphasized historical accuracy, and the game is set in the medieval Kingdom of Bohemia. If the Switch release of Kingdom Come: Deliverance is legitimate, it would certainly provide a different experience for Nintendo players.

We expect to hear about this in a more official capacity soon. Feb. 18 is right around the corner, so Nintendo would want to formally announce this in the coming weeks. A successful port could prove as large of a task as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, another huge open-world RPG converted for use on Switch.
