Square Enix and Indieszero’s Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory gets closer and closer to its Nov. 13 release date on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Today, Square Enix released some new images of the game in action, revealing King Mickey as a potential fourth party member, as well as some menu changes that can occur when you are using different party members.
As you can see illustrated in the following images, Square Enix explains the following about Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory:
- By using a Summoning Star in a Field Battle Music Stage, King Mickey will join your team as the fourth member.
- In some Field Battle Music Stages, Disney characters can fight alongside you as a guest member of your team.
- The Main Menu will vary based on which team you’re using.
We previewed Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory recently (albeit on PlayStation 4) prior to the wide release of its demo on the Nintendo Switch eShop and other platforms. It provided a distinct and enjoyable rhythm experience that still had a tinge of Square Enix and Indieszero’s Theatrhythm flavor to it, and the demo particularly impressed with its depth and variety of difficulty options.
Between King Mickey and a full story mode to explore, we likely have a lot to look forward to on Nintendo Switch with this release — just don’t expect any more Kingdom Hearts games to follow.
