Kano revealed to be part of Mortal Kombat 11 cast

With all the talk about Shaggy from Scooby-Doo, it can be easy to forget that there’s a rich cast of characters yet to be confirmed for Mortal Kombat 11. That was changed tonight, though. During a WB Games Brasil stream, Kano was revealed along with an interesting pirate costume. Jump to the 0:46 mark for the reveal.

This was followed by a tweet from Ed Boon himself. He even cheekily confirms that this is no troll move on his part.

Kano comes back as one of the original cast members from the first Mortal Kombat. He is known as the leader of the Black Dragon clan and has been a longtime nemesis to Sonya Blade. He also isn’t a big fan of her family which includes Cassie Cage who has been all but confirmed so far. The only showing of Kano before this reveal was as part of the background in a stage outfitted like a fight club.

No gameplay was shown, but the pirate costume did get some relevant details. It will be free DLC, but exclusive to the Brazilian version of the game. The name of the skin “Kangaceiro” is a Mortal Kombat take on the word “cangaceiro” which means bandit or outlaw. Seems quite fitting for a low-life like Kano, eh?

What do you hope to see from Kano in MK11? Let us know in the comments!
