JP — Nintendo Switch Continues to Dominate Weekly Charts

Despite stock shortages due to its mass popularity, the Switch continues to be the best-selling system overall in Japan’s weekly charts. Media Create has released its latest data chart (week of June 19th – 25th) which had the Switch at the number one position; it hasn’t changed since launch. Although, if stock shortages continue then it is likely that the PS4 will catch up and perhaps even surpass the Switch soon, as this week’s chart shows a very small difference between the two platforms. Beyond that, the New 3DS XL continues to hold a high position as well, while the Wii U drops all the way down to the bottom of the list, even below that of the Xbox One and the recently discontinued PS3.

Here are the numbers:

Switch – 22,361 (37,709)
PS4 – 19,095 (18,251)
New 3DS LL – 11,474 (11,592)
PS4 Pro – 6,585 (5,795)
Vita – 4,077 (4,149)
2DS – 2,545 (2,655)
New 3DS – 710 (815)
Xbox One – 265 (308)
PS3 – 201 (298)
Wii U – 150 (199)
