Jade has been added to the Mortal Kombat 11 roster

Mortal Kombat 11 - MK11 - Jade

Another kombatant has joined the Mortal Kombat 11 roster. The green-clad former assassin of Outworld’s emperor Shao Kahn, is making a return to the franchise as an undead revenant. In the rebooted timeline, Jade turned against her master and became an ally of Earthrealm and its defenders.

She met a pretty grisly end at the hands of Sindel in the 2011 Mortal Kombat semi-reboot. Due to Quan Chi’s necromantic magic, she’s apparently returned as an undead revenant like many of the slain characters in MKX. With Quan Chi dead, however, it’ll be interesting to see if she has some semblance of choice and freedom in this game to ally herself with the forces of Earthrealm once again.

Check out the gameplay video below to see Jade unleash a beastly whooping on various opponents.

She’s certainly quick and nimble. That spear has always given her the advantage of range. Additionally, she’s been known to unleash a barrage of rapid, brutal blows using her spear as you can witness in the video above. In the hands of an effective player, she’s absolutely always been among the deadliest fighters in any Mortal Kombat roster. Unfortunately, Jade wasn’t present in Mortal Kombat X. But it’s exciting to see her return, even if it’s with a greyed, undead exterior.

There are still a handful of empty slots on the MK11 roster that have yet to be announced. Be sure, to keep an eye on the latest and greatest out of Netherrealm as they continue to unveil the fighters launching their next blood-soaked entry in the Mortal Kombat franchise. What do you think of the Jade reveal? Are you excited to wield that deadly spear? What other characters are you hoping to see unveiled in the MK11 roster? We’d like to hear your thoughts on all things Mortal Kombat 11 in the comments below!
