Immortals Fenyx Rising deep dive trailer introduces mythical creatures and player abilities

Immortals Fenyx Rising review Nintendo Switch Ubisoft Quebec The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in Greek mythology with great comedy Deep Dive trailer

Immortals Fenyx Rising launches in a few days, and Ubisoft has put out a couple more trailers showing the game off. Of course, there’s the obligatory launch trailer that serves as a brief showcase of what the game has to offer. Then a deep dive trailer, below, goes into a little more detail about the world of Immortals Fenyx Rising.

The game is described as a “fresh and witty take” on open-world games, with Ubisoft trying to branch out from its Assassin’s Creed Odyssey roots. Some of that humor was present in Odyssey, but Immortals Fenyx Rising takes it up a notch. The art style is also a nice departure, perhaps drawing the most obvious comparison to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Obviously, the Greek mythology themes set it apart from the Nintendo series, and the deep dive trailer offers up some of the enemies you’ll face. These start off with basic wild animals, before the game moves up a gear. Later on, you’ll take on the likes of Medusa and other mythical bosses as you gain the abilities to take them down.

Go check out our full review if you want more than the deep dive provided by this Immortals Fenyx Rising trailer.

Immortals Fenyx Rising launches Dec. 3 on Switch.
