Nintendo 3DS Family Welcomes Hulu Plus

Streaming service Hulu Plus is now officially available for the Nintendo 3DS, 3DS XL and 2DS, bringing the best of the big and little screen right to your fingertips.

With access to the Nintendo eShop, you can download the Hulu Plus application for free. Existing subscribers have immediate access to their accounts upon downloading, while users who want to start a new account receive a free, one-week trial. Thousands of movies, television shows, and clips can be taken anywhere for your enjoyment (as long as you have internet, that is), as well as commercial-free kids programming via the Hulu Kids hub.

Like the Wii U’s TVii app, users can flip through the multitude of entertainment options with the system’s secondary touch screen. The Hulu Plus app also seems to be uniform in design and function across all 3DS versions, so don\’t fret if you feel like the 2DS Hulu experience will be any less than the 3DS or 3DS XL versions. Parents can control the content accessible through Hulu Plus with parental controls.

This announcement comes around two years after the announcement of Hulu Plus for 3DS (and Wii) back in 2011.
