Homebrew creator designs app to convert Switch Labo VR videos

The Nintendo Labo VR kit recently launched and while its main purpose is for gaming experiences, there are some small videos included in the Labo VR software, but nothing too groundbreaking. But, a Switch Homebrew software maker decided to build upon this idea and create a PC program that can convert videos into a Labo VR-friendly format.

Dubbed the ‘Labo VR Video Converter’ this small utility takes existing 180° VR video and rebuilds it into the correct format so that it can be displayed on the Switch to be used with the Labo VR goggles. Of course, the only people who can actually take advantage of this are folks with hacked Switch units, so that locks out quite a large number of people. Nevertheless, this does at least show how versatile the new VR kit is and hopefully Nintendo (and/or other developers) will expand upon its functionality in the near future.

If you want to watch some other VR videos, check out how to do it via the official YouTube Switch app (though keep in mind that these are ones that cannot be rotated).
