Hobonichi is a Japanese company that produces Techno-styled notebooks that provide daily quotes for your motivation fix. The brand’s name means “Almost Every Day”. It was established in Japan on June 6, 1998, and was founded by creator of the Mother/Earthbound series, Shigesato Itoi, who is a huge fan of journaling. Relatedly, Itoi has been a writer since the early ’90s, producing countless essays, short stories, and copy work.

Notably, Satoru Iwata was the IT manager for Hobonichi since its founding, so it’s fitting Itoi would publish a book via the brand. Iwata died in mid-2015 from complications due to a tumor in his bile duct. He was one of the earliest faces featured on Nintendo Direct, and was a key figure for Nintendo fans. His legacy and impact on video games culture is still felt today.

More details on the upcoming Satoru Iwata book will release on July 1, 2019. No word on an official U.S. release yet, but we can hope.
