Hello Kitty joins Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania as DLC at launch

Sanrio Hello Kitty joins Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania as launch DLC Sega Nintendo Switch $4.99

The cutest piece of corporate IP in the universe is coming to Monkey Ball! Sega has announced that Sanrio’s iconic Hello Kitty will join Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania as paid DLC, available at the launch of the game in October for $4.99. Sega describes Hello Kitty as a “cheerful and happy girl with a heart of gold” who “brings friendship and kindness to Jungle Island,” and that is exactly the thing to further enhance Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania as far as I’m concerned. A short “Hello Kitty Joins the Gang” trailer offers a glimpse of the precious high jinks to expect.

We reported last week that another cute cat, Morgana from Persona 5, will also join the game as $4.99 paid DLC, but Morgana will arrive in November. That means Hello Kitty is first up to bat. Meanwhile, Sega had already announced other assorted cross-over characters for Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania, including Kazuma Kiryu from Yakuza, Beat from Jet Set Radio, and the utterly famous Sonic and Tails.

It’s hard to argue that Hello Kitty isn’t the cutest addition to the Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania roster yet, but let us know what you think of her. Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania launches on October 5, 2021 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam.
