Gris getting a second physical release, this time at retail

Gris, a platform-adventure game from Nomada Studio and Devolver Digital, appears to be receiving a physical launch at retail. The game had previously gotten a special physical edition through Special Reserve Games, but pre-orders for this release appeared on Amazon and will hopefully be more widely available.

The Amazon page for Gris shows a pre-order price of $29.99. On top of the game, players who buy the physical edition will also receive a piece of double-sided artwork and an art booklet. The physical release is currently scheduled for October 1 of this year.

It is not surprising to see Gris get a wider physical release. The game reviewed quite well, receiving praise for its gorgeous art, excellent soundtrack, and inventive adventure and message. Additionally, the game has sold over one million copies as of April 2020. A popular, well-loved title such as this one deserves every chance that it can get to land in players’ hands. Hopefully, this new physical edition can welcome new players and satisfy collectors who missed out on the earlier physical run.

Have you played Gris? If so, what did you think? Are you planning on picking up the new physical version? Let us know your thoughts on the game and this physical version in the comment section directly below.
