Golf with Your Friends is coming to Switch next month

A release date for Golf with Your Friends on Nintendo Switch has been revealed. Publisher Team 17 and developer Blacklight Interactive have announced that the multiplayer mini-golf game will hit the platform on May 19. While the game won’t launch until then, it’s already available for pre-purchase on the Nintendo eShop. By purchasing it now you’ll net yourself The Caddy Pack, which gives you a collection of free golf ball customization options as a bonus.

While mini-golf might sound like the last thing that you want to do right now, Golf with Your Friends brings a different perspective to the game. Instead of playing a human putting golf balls through a course, you’ll play the ball itself. You still need to adjust the power and angle of your shots, but now you’re in the heart of the action, almost from the point of view of the golf ball itself. Why not?

As if that weren’t exciting enough, the game can also host multiplayer games with up to 12 players. There are a number of courses available to play across, one of which is based on the Worms franchise, and each is packed with power-ups to enhance your own shots or hinder those of others.

Started out playing Metroid 2 on the GameBoy at around 5 years-old, and now I write about games all day long. Can't play Switch and drive, I've tried. As time goes on the Switch is quickly becoming my favourite console of all time.
