God of War art director’s realistic Falco Lombardi is a 10 on the edgy scale

We’re really not having to wait very long to see what a realistic Team Star Fox looks like! God of War art director Raf Grassetti of Sony’s Santa Monica Studio is back yet again with his obscenely detailed art, this time bringing a super edgy and too-cool-to-look-forward Falco Lombardi into the world. Falco’s gaze is positively piercing, like he’s staring into your soul and learning your every weakness — and especially that time you accidentally left the bathroom door open in elementary school. In any case, he joins comrades Fox McCloud and Slippy Toad, meaning we’re almost finished the team. However, Grassetti has previously teased that Star Wolf’s Wolf O’Donnell is coming as well.

Admittedly, compared to cool-as-a-cucumber Fox McCloud and creepy/adorable Slippy Toad, Falco Lombardi does lean a bit more on the “gritty” side with his design. If I didn’t know better, I’d think Falco wanted to just use his beak to rip me open and feast on my intestines. (To be fair, I guess I can’t prove Falco wouldn’t do that regardless.)

What do you think of this hyper-realistic take on the coolest member of Star Fox? Tell us how you feel, and then stay tuned for a certain hare in the days to come.
