Game Freak’s Little Town Hero gets release date, new name

During its Nintendo Direct that aired earlier today, Nintendo announced the release date of Game Freak’s Little Town Hero. The New IP will be launching October 16. The title is a departure from Game Freak’s regular fare – the studio usually develops Pokemon titles – but is not the first time the studio has ventured into new territory. In the last few years, Game Freak has launched HarmoKnight, Tembo the Badass Elephant, and Pocket Card Jockey.

Originally, Little Town Hero simply had the name “Town.” The game was first revealed at a Nintendo Direct almost exactly a year ago. Since then, we have learned a few new details. The game’s composer is Toby Fox, the same composer that wrote music for Undertale.

While many details are still unknown about the game, we will keep you updated on new developments as we get closer to release date.
