Friday the 13th: The Game special edition lets you kill everyone on Switch

Friday the 13th: The Game for Nintendo Switch

Friday the 13th: The Game, originally released in 2017 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, will now carve out a new path of terror on Nintendo Switch. This spring, we will receive Friday the 13th: The Game Ultimate Slasher Switch Edition. (Try saying that three times fast… Heck, trying saying that mouthful at all.) This version of the game will include all previously released paid and free content, minus the Kickstarter backer exclusive clothing pack and Savini Jason character.

The game is multiplayer and follows a pretty simple premise: One player is randomly selected to play as killing machine Jason Voorhees, and everyone else is a camp counselor just trying to escape Camp Crystal Lake alive. If that sounds fun to you, then you have one more reason to celebrate the coming spring.

This won’t be the first game in the series to appear on Switch though; we reviewed and enjoyed Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle last year.
