“The Buster Sword from Final Fantasy VII Remake will appear as a digital clock in 2022.
Please look forward to more info.”
The announcement of the Final Fantasy VII Remake clock comes a day after the 25th anniversary of the original game. Final Fantasy VII director Yoshinori Kitase and artist Tetsuya Nomura shared special messages for the anniversary, which you can read in our previous report.
The clock’s design is based on the continue screen of FF7 that shows Cloud’s sword. The sword itself is based on the design of Cloud’s Buster Sword from Final Fantasy VII Remake. It even has two glowing bits on the Materia slots for good measure.
Speaking of good measure, here’s the continue screen track by the London Philharmonic Orchestra:
The original Final Fantasy VII‘s port is available for Nintendo Switch with several helpful features, including 3x speed mode, toggle on/off encounters, battle enhancement mode, and more. Final Fantasy VII Remake is immediately available for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC exclusively via Epic Games Store.
