Dear readers, you know what I am excited about? Metroid Dread. And so are many of you. The enthusiasm over Samus’ next adventure is palpable. So much so, that interest in Metroid Dread has caused an increase in sales for the Wii U Metroid games. Finally, Metroid is getting the recognition it so rightly deserves!
The Wii U Metroid games are a great way to prepare for Dread
As reported by Destructoid, both Metroid: Zero Mission and Metroid Fusion are on the top of the Wii U sales charts:

Both of these games were originally on the GBA, but gamers can play them on the Wii U via the eShop.
Also, Metroid Prime: Trilogy is getting love at number five. The trilogy was released on the Wii, but it can be bought digitally on the Wii U, too.
It’s great to see all of these games sell well, even though fans have to dig out their old consoles to access them. Imagine what the figures would look like if all of these titles were available on the Switch! Nintendo is losing free money.
