Japanese publication Famitsu has revealed its game review scores for the week (via Gematsu), including those for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. For those unfamiliar with Famitsu’s reviewing format, they have four people review the game and award it a score out of 10. Age of Calamity has received extremely positive scores from the Japanese magazine, with 9s across the board. This brings the total score to 36/40, and the magazine stated that the game is “highly satisfying as a spin-off of Breath of the Wild.”
The only concern for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity that I had in previewing the demo is the frame rate. We reported about how inconsistent the game was in terms of performance, so I am hoping that the final version fixes a lot of the issues we had with the game.
You can download the free demo on the Nintendo Switch eShop, which also allows you to carry your progress over to the final version later this month. Age of Calamity’s demo lets you play through the prologue missions to get a feel of how the game will work.
There is not long left to wait with just nine days until its full release, as Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity launches on Nov. 20 for Nintendo Switch. Are you excited for Age of Calamity?
