Developer Dodge Roll brought bullet hell roguelike Enter the Gungeon into the world in 2016 to a strong positive reception, and the game subsequently arrived on Nintendo Switch and even received a deluxe edition. Now, Dodge Roll and SingleCore Games are bringing a platformer spin-off, Exit the Gungeon, to home consoles “early this year,” according to a tweet. Currently, the game is exclusive to Apple Arcade, having released in September 2019.

For a better idea of Exit the Gungeon‘s platforming mechanics, have a look at the game’s Apple Arcade launch trailer from publisher Devolver Digital. As you can see, there is still a lot of bullets and a lot of hell going on.
And finally, here is the given description of Exit the Gungeon:
Exit the Gungeon is a bullet hell dungeon climber immediately following the adventures of the misfit ‘Gungeoneers’ and their journey for personal absolution in Enter the Gungeon. The Gungeon has become a paradox and is collapsing! Armed with an ever-changing weapon, an insatiable need to loot, and the trusty dodge roll, each of our heroes must ascend and escape via their own unique route of increasingly perilous elevators. Battle against the last and most bitter of the Gundead at a frantic pace, slowing down just long enough to chat with some familiar faces… and a few new ones. Shifting rooms, enemies, bosses, bizarre weapons and items all combine to ensure that no two attempts to Exit the Gungeon are the same.
