It all started on the 13th hour of the 13th day of the 13th month — wait, no, that’s not right. But Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games have delayed the release date of Evil Dead: The Game to Friday, May 13, 2022, which is pretty spooky and evil all the same. This is the second delay for the game, since it had already been delayed from a 2021 release to a February 2022 release. However quality takes time, and this last delay will allow the game to become “groovy as hell.” Furthermore, preorder info and a new trailer for Evil Dead: The Game will arrive in February, so you will be more than ready for the final May release date.
Hey Evil Dead fans!
When we set out to create a brand new game worthy of the Evil Dead franchise, we knew it had to be groovy as hell. In order to deliver the best possible experience, Evil Dead: The Game is now coming on May 13, 2022. pic.twitter.com/BfuaOdcFVT

Evil Dead: The Game is a 4v1 survival horror game with playable characters that include Ash, Kelly Maxwell, Pablo Simon Bolivar, Scotty, Lord Arthur, Cheryl Williams, and Henry the Red. They will be using more than 25 weapons, like Ash’s Gauntlet, Boomstick, and chainsaw, to survive, and there are skill trees to power up characters as well. Meanwhile, one player will control the Kandarian Demon, who can possess people and consume souls. That part sounds like the most fun to me. Hopefully it’ll have plenty of Sam Raimi flavor.
Upon its evil new Friday, May 13 release date, Evil Dead: The Game will come to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
