Espgaluda II finally has a Switch release date, according to an updated eShop listing. The game is set to release in the West on September 9. As the second of three planned localizations of classic bullet hell titles from famed bullet hell developer CAVE (next up is DoDonPachi Resurrection), we definitely cannot wait to get our hands on this one.
Check out a teaser trailer for the game below.
Looks fun, right? The September 9 release date for Espgaluda II is just over a week away, but if that is too long for you to wait, you can jump into one of CAVE’s bullet hell masterpieces on Switch right now: Mushihimesama. We gave that game a 9 out of 10 just over a month ago, citing the tight and fluid shmup gameplay, the eccentric visuals, the excellent soundtrack, and the wide assortment of gameplay modes and mods. Needless to say, after playing Mushihimesama, we cannot wait to get our hands on Espgaluda II.
Similar to Mushihemesama, Espgaluda II is set to offer a variety of difficulty modifiers and modes so that players of any experience level can appreciate and enjoy the game. The developers have also promised new optional game rules and even a special ending to discover.
We are very excited to dive into another shmup by CAVE on Switch. How do you feel about the game? Will you be diving into Espgaluda II on Switch on its September 9 release date, or is this shmup not on your radar? Let us know in the comment section below.
