Earlier today The Pokémon Company announced an Easter Max Raid Battle event that is happening in Pokémon Sword and Shield. The Easter Max Raid Battle event makes it more likely that you’ll come across baby Pokémon and Ditto in Max Raid Battles. The event is on right now and will last until April 16.
Defeating the Pokémon found in these Max Raid Battles during the event will award you increased EV-boosting items and candies. The Pokémon you’ll be taking on include Cleffa, Togepi, Wynaut, Pichu, Tyrogue, Bonsly, Mantyke, Riolu, Budew, Munchlax, Toxel, and Mime Jr.
Additional rewards for this Easter event include Everstones, Destiny Knots, and Power Belts, which help players with breeding their Pokémon. Other rewards you might get are Lucky Eggs and Boiled Eggs, adding to the Easter theme of this event.
Sadly, there will be some Easter-themed Pokémon that are missing from this year’s event. Both Chansey and Buneary won’t appear this year, but that’s because they don’t arrive in the games until their DLC hit this June.
The event overlaps with the Gigantamax Raid Event that’s running until April 27. This event causes Gigantamax Copperajah to appear in Pokémon Sword and Gigantamax Garbodor to appear in Pokémon Shield.
