EA discounts five Switch games in Halloween eShop sale

Burnout Paradise Remastered Nintendo Switch June 2020 release date Criterion Games EA Electronic Arts racing game EA esHop sale

EA has discounted five games on the Nintendo Switch eShop for a Halloween sale, which is certainly not a ton, but there are a few good deals here if you are interested in expanding your collection. The full sale list follows below.

  • Burnout Paradise Remastered: $14.99, usually $29.99
  • Lost in Random – $24.89, usually $29.99
  • Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered: $24.79, usually $39.99
  • Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville Complete Edition – $11.99, usually $39.99
  • Unravel Two: $3.99, usually $19.99

So, there you have it. The 2021 EA Switch eShop Halloween sale is not much to write home about, but these games at least all look pretty good. Some of the discounts are underwhelming, but others are pretty close to a sweet spot. IF you want to grab one of these, move quickly – the sale ends November 1 at 11:59 PM PT.

From my perspective, I would definitely recommend Burnout Paradise Remastered if you are interested in an open world racing title. The game is speedy, exciting, and loads of fun, and runs impressively well on Switch. I think it might be the star of this EA eShop sale.

Lost in Random might be worth a look as well, though there isn’t much of a discount on it (which makes sense, as the game is barely six weeks old). In our review, we scored the game an 8 out of 10 and praised its writing and voice acting, the character and environmental designs, and the entertaining battle system, while lamenting the graphical quality on Switch and the tiny text.

As for Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered, I think I will be waiting for a deeper discount on that one. We scored the game a 7.5 out of 10, enjoying the racing mechanics and events, but were not huge fans of the port overall.

Nintendo Enthusiast has not reviewed Unravel Two or Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, two of the deeper discounts on this list. I’ll certainly take a look at Unravel Two, but am doubtful that I will end up grabbing either title.

Do you plan on grabbing any EA games in this eShop sale? Any you’d recommend or caution against? Let us know in the comment section below.
