E3 2018 Floor Plans Reveal that Nintendo and Sony are Going Head-to-Head

E3 2018 is still a whole four months away, but things are already kicking into gear The preliminary floor plans for E3 2018 have been released, and they’ve  revealed some interesting details.

Check out this first one of the West Exhibit Hall of the LA Convention Center:

As you can see, Sony and Nintendo are right alongside each other. This layout is similar to that of last year. While Sony still has the largest amount of floor space, Nintendo really isn’t that far behind. A few third-party publishers are also occupying the space with them, and Nvidia is off to the left side, not too far from its partners at Nintendo. Now, you may be wondering: if Sony and Nintendo have all this space in his Hall, then where’s Microsoft?

Well, this floor plan of the smaller South Exhibit Hall reveals Microsoft’s position:

As you can see, Microsoft has a noticeably smaller amount of space than that of Sony and Nintendo. This is again similar to last year. E3 2017 saw the formal reveal of the Xbox One X, but there’s no telling what super-special announcement that Microsoft will have this year. Of course, that also applies to Sony and Nintendo too.

In any case, these floor plans are preliminary, which means they are subject to change. Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft’s positions may just end up staying the same, but the various third-party studios may shuffle around a bit before the actual show.

E3 2018 will be taking place in Los Angeles, California on June 12-14.
