Drawn to Life: Two Realms is drawn to Nintendo Switch this December

Drawn to Life: Two Realms Nintendo Switch release date December 7 Digital Continue 505 Games 5th Cell PC iOS Android mobile digital release

The Drawn to Life franchise, originally developed by 5th Cell and starting life on Nintendo DS, has been dormant for several years now — but no longer! Publisher 505 Games and developer Digital Continue are reviving the franchise with Drawn to Life: Two Realms, which will launch digitally on Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, Android, and iOS on Dec. 7.

The unique element being added to this entry is a “toy placement mechanic that lets players position tangible toys around levels in-game to help their hero traverse and complete platforming goals.” A new Creation Tool offers numerous stickers, templates, new hero animations, and millions of color options to express whatever is in your imagination. Likewise, Drawn to Life: Two Realms has a new Outfit System that will let you customize and save your looks for your hero, which will include stickers you’ve unlocked. The story then will pick up a few years after 2009’s Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter, bringing back Mari, Jowee, and others on a quest between the Raposa and human realms to “uncover the mystery of the shadow.”

Digital Continue as developer of Drawn to Life: Two Realms feels quite fitting, as Digital Continue cofounder Joseph M. Tringali was also a cofounder of 5th Cell and an executive producer of Drawn to Life. We interviewed Tringali last December (though it feels like an eternity ago) about another extremely unique and creative title from Digital Continue, SuperMash.

Drawn to Life: Two Realms will presumably be a bite-sized experience, as it will retail for $9.99 on Nintendo Switch and PC and $4.99 on mobile.
