Dragon Quest survey asks fans to help shape the future of the series

2021 is a major year for the Dragon Quest series, with its being the franchise’s 35th anniversary, and Square Enix launched a survey to get your help in shaping its future.

The 30-question survey starts with personal questions about your age, residence, and all that good stuff. It then asks what video game devices you own, your favorite genres, how much you spend, and how long you play video games.

From around the middle of the survey, it asks about your relation to the Dragon Quest series. For example, how big of a Dragon Quest fan do you consider yourself on a scale of 1 to 10? Actually, if you’re filling up a 30-question survey about the series, go ahead and smash that 10. You’ve earned it. It also asks about your expectations for the series and how likely it is you will talk about it with friends and on social media.

The survey takes you down memory lane starting at Q20, asking which Dragon Quest games you have played. It follows with questions about your very first Dragon Quest, then your favorite, second favorite, and third favorite titles. Towards the end, the survey wants to know if you watched the Dragon Quest 35th Anniversary Special and which titles like Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate and Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake you are looking forward to the most. Lastly, the most important question is at #30, and it asks, “What do you want to see from the Dragon Quest series in the future?”

The survey takes roughly 10 to 15 minutes to complete and will be available until August 23.
