Bandai Namco has announced that two of its major DBZ games in Dragon Ball FighterZ and Xenoverse 2 have topped 8 million in global shipments. That’s a combined total of 16 million units shipped and sold digitally for the two games that are available in 13 languages.
To commemorate the occasion, Bandai Namco is hosting in-game campaigns for both titles. Here’s what they have planned:
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2
The campaign will start on November 12 and end on November 18, 2021. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will celebrate its 8 million milestone with a raid boss battle of “Jiren (Full Power)” that rewards players with a Satan Badge (common) and 80 TP Medals for participating.
Dragon Ball FighterZ
The Dragon Ball FighterZ campaign for celebrating 8 million will come in three parts across November to early December:
- Part 1 (November 12 – 20): The DLC characters Bardock, Broly, Zamasu (Fused), and Vegetto (SSGSS) will be available to play for free.
- Part 2 (November 20 – 28): The DLC characters Goku, Vegeta, Cooler, and Android 17 will be available to play for free.
- Part 3 (November 28 – December 7): The DLC characters Jiren, Videl, Goku (GT), Janemba, Gogeta (SSGSS), and Broly (DBS) will be available to play for free.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 was originally released in October 2016, and it impressively keeps getting new DLC. The game is available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. The Arc System Works-developed Dragon Ball FighterZ was first launched in January 2018 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The Switch version followed in September 2018.
