Doom Slayers Collection apparently coming to Switch next month

DOOM Slayers Collection Switch

Bethesda has been supporting Nintendo Switch since its launch in 2017, releasing a multitude of classic titles. The Doom franchise in particular has received a whopping six releases on Switch, including Doom, Doom II, Doom 3, Doom 64, Doom (2016), and Doom Eternal. And if you haven’t already played that wide-ranging multitude of titles in the series, now might be your chance to grab nearly all of them at once. Via VGC, a Best Buy listing has emerged for a Doom Slayers Collection retail release on Nintendo Switch that includes all of the aforementioned games except for Eternal.

The Best Buy listing currently includes a release date of September 2, 2021 for Doom Slayers Collection on Switch. This collection was originally released in 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to build up hype for Doom Eternal, but it did not include Doom 64, which was made available for purchase separately on consoles last year.

There’s a good chance that Bethesda and developer id Software may announce Doom Slayers Collection for Nintendo Switch during QuakeCon 2021, which is scheduled to begin later today, August 19, and will last until August 21, 2021. What do you think about all of this? The classic Doom games are perennial favorites, and Panic Button did a solid job getting the new games to run on Switch.

Update: Reportedly only Doom (2016) is included on the cartridge. The other games are offered via digital download.
