Immersive life sim Disney Magical World 2: Enchanted Edition hits Switch in December

Disney Magical World 2: Enchanted Edition Nintendo Switch release date December 2021

The September 2021 Nintendo Direct had so much big, big news, which you read all about here yesterday — Nintendo 64 and Sega Genesis games for Nintendo Switch Online, Chris Pratt is Super Mario for some godless reason, Kirby is looking spectacular in full 3D, Bayonetta 3 actually exists, etc. But then there are cool, smaller stories still worth a highlight as well, like Shadowrun Trilogy getting a port or that, hey, Bandai Namco revealed that immersive life sim Disney Magical World 2: Enchanted Edition is headed to Nintendo Switch with an apparent December 3, 2021 release date. (Oddly, PR doesn’t explicitly state December 3, but the video’s YouTube description does.)

The game originally released for Nintendo 3DS in the mid-2010s, where it garnered a fairly good critical reception. On Nintendo Switch, Disney Magical World 2: Enchanted Edition looks to up the ante with cleaned up graphics and perhaps a bit more to do as you “build a life” alongside your favorite Disney characters in magical worlds. Bandai Namco PR offers up what to expect:

In Disney Magical World 2: Enchanted Edition, players will begin by creating their own in-game avatar and choosing from thousands of customization options to fully express themselves. Upon beginning their adventure, players will be greeted by Mickey Mouse and friends and settle into Castleton, where they will make their homes and meet colorful personalities. These new residents of Castleton will gradually become acquainted with their friendly neighbors and gain access to mysterious portals, which lead to new worlds with even more characters to befriend.

With six unique worlds to explore, Disney Magical World 2: Enchanted Edition boasts an array of vibrant locations that Disney fans will recognize, each home to plenty of fun activities and thematic mini-games. From interior decorating and managing a café to starring in Magical Dream parades and adventuring through dungeons, Disney Magical World 2: Enchanted Edition has an abundance of activities that everyone can enjoy.

So basically, if you wish you could just live in a world of Disney characters, you can do that with Disney Magical World 2: Enchanted Edition as soon as its December Switch release date arrives.
