Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition digi-shows off its digi-story

Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition story trailer

Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition was surprise-announced back in July by Bandai Namco, containing the original game and follow-up Hacker’s Memory. The games were originally developed by Media.Vision for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, but now you can play them on Nintendo Switch and PC on Oct. 18. Today, Bandai Namco released a story trailer to refresh you on what these games are all about.

In Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition, players can enter a digital world called EDEN in the future. It’s a utopia where there are rules and laws, yet there are also hackers screwing with things. In fact, in the first game somehow things get messed up enough that you become half-digital yourself. (Don’t you hate when that happens?) Meanwhile, in Hacker’s Memory, character Keisuke gets his EDEN account stolen and is framed for a crime he didn’t commit. He has to prove his innocence.

Beyond that, the trailer shows off lots of random beloved classic Digimon, like Wargreymon and Leomon. It’s been a long time since I engaged with the series, so I’m proud I even remembered those names — but that’s the point here, reigniting interest in a worthwhile franchise.

Will you be picking up Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition this October? Or are you biding your time for Digimon Survive next year?
