Devil May Cry director says series should come to Switch if you want Dante in Smash Bros.

Devil May Cry 5 on Nintendo Switch Dante Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Capcom

Dante from the Devil May Cry series is one of many characters that people are clamoring for to appear in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It’s not likely, honestly, and he hasn’t appeared in any of the DLC leaks. However, DMC series director Hideaki Itsuno was recently asked about the possibility anyway.

He responded by noting that, for the most part, the vast Smash Bros. roster has a history of some kind on Nintendo hardware, but Devil May Cry has never appeared on Nintendo hardware. Thus, he reasons, if fans want to see Dante in Smash, then they should be enthusiastically yelling at Capcom to put DMC on Switch!

Makes sense to me. I don’t know anybody who would complain about seeing Devil May Cry and Bayonetta on the same machine, so if that sounds like a good idea to you, let Capcom know!
