Cameo is a website that lets you pay to get a short, special video message from assorted celebrities. David Hayter, the legendary voice actor of Solid Snake and an accomplished screenwriter, is available to book on that website, and he’s lowered his rates during coronavirus as his unique way of helping people send messages to each other. Today, a video was shared to Twitter of Hayter in action as Solid Snake, congratulating a couple on their pregnancy and suggesting baby names. The results, I think are, pretty hilarious.

As you can see in the video, David Hayter / Solid Snake suggests such epic and powerful names as “Firetruck Lemur,” “Caterpillar Octopus,” and “Steam Shovel Catman,” and he notes how times are hard in the era of this FOXDIE virus. But then he concludes that sometimes simple is better, so “Solid,” “Liquid,” and “Solidus” are also good names for a child.
I don’t know about you, but I’m taking deep notes on this critical advice to naming a child. Firetruck Lemur in particular is such a versatile name for a boy, a girl, or a firetruck. Maybe we should all be going to David Hayter on Cameo for our important life advice.
