Later this year, the incredibly stylish indie RPG Cris Tales is set to launch on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam, and Google Stadia. The game had a jaw-dropping showing at E3 last year, and it’s only been looking better and better as new gameplay emerges. We won’t have to twiddle our thumbs and settle for videos of the game much longer, though. As of today, a playable demo for the game is available now on the Nintendo eShop.
Available now on the North American eShop and tomorrow for Europe, the Cris Tales console demo gives players a chance to play through the beginning moments of Crisbell’s story. The demo launches in celebration of Colombian Independence Day, a holiday celebrating the country that heavily inspired the world and aesthetic of Cris Tales. In fact, the stylish RPG is even being developed in Columbia by Dreams Uncorporated and SYCK. This demo gives players a chance to get a first-hand look at the architecture, culture and unique ‘endemic fantasy’ that was created thanks to the personal connection that the developers have with Colombia.
The Cris Tales demo also gives players a chance to try out the Colosseum mode, a mode where you’ll team up with party-member Wilhelm to tackle eight waves of increasingly difficult battles capped off with a mini-boss fight.
Cris Tales launches on November 17 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Steam, and Google Stadia.
