The world of Sonic the Hedgehog has been hectic these past few weeks, with various voice actors announcing their retirement from the series. One such voice actor was Colleen O’Shaughnessey, the voice of Tails, who announced that she wouldn’t be voicing Tails in the Sonic Prime Netflix series. This caused fans to speculate whether or not she was done with the character. However, O’Shaughnessey has confirmed that she isn’t done with the character. Replying to a fan on Twitter, the voice actor said, “Tails and I aren’t finished, yet.”

O’Shaughnessey has yet to confirm where she’ll be reprising the role, but she could potentially appear in the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 movie. Despite all this, Roger Craig Smith and Cindy Robinson are no longer apart of the franchise, with Smith recently confirming that it was his own decision to leave. Mike Pollock, the voice of series antagonist Dr. Eggman, also confirmed that he will continue to voice the villain.
With Sonic’s 30th anniversary taking place this year, it is highly likely that we’ll see more updates for the Blue Blur in the near future. Fans are still anxiously hoping for a sequel to 2017’s Sonic Mania, so it will be interesting to see what Sega announces. Are you happy about Colleen O’Shaughnessey continuing to voice Tails?
