Christopher Nolan uses Fortnite to debut the second trailer for Tenet

Christopher Nolan Fortnite Tenet trailer Nintendo Switch Epic Games

Yesterday, director Christopher Nolan used Fortnite‘s Party Royale game mode to debut the second trailer for his upcoming movie, Tenet. The event was suggested by Nolan himself, according to Epic Games’ Donald Mustard. Apparently the team at Epic Games was discussing with Nolan how they all loved watching new trailers before movies in the theater. Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, that isn’t currently possible. However, it is possible to enjoy a new trailer with friends within Fortnite.

As you can see, the new, confusing trailer for Tenet was hosted by Geoff Keighley and actor John David Washington, who plays a main role in the film. There was even a short Q&A session around the trailer, which made sense since this was the first time that anyone had ever seen the trailer.

It was also announced during the event in Fortnite that Christopher Nolan will be screening one of his films in its entirety within the game. This means that anyone can watch the movie with their friends for free, no matter what platform they’re on, or where they live. The movie being shown hasn’t been confirmed just yet, but with huge films such as Interstellar, Inception, Dunkirk, and The Dark Knight trilogy in Nolan’s back catalogue, any movie is sure to be fantastic.
