Team Chicken came out on top in this weekend’s Chicken vs. Egg Splatfest. The Splatfest looked to arbitrarily solve the age-old question of which came first once and for all. At this point in time, using Splatoon 2 as a scientific method to solve the issue, things currently stand at Chicken 2, Egg 1. Without another similar Splatfest in the diary, it seems like Team Chicken has it for the foreseeable future.
The #Splatoon2 #Splatfest results are in, and #TeamChicken rules the roost with a 2-1 win! Thanks to everyone who helped solve this age old question, and be sure to claim your Super Sea Snails in Inkopolis Square! pic.twitter.com/QqwNvcsWAp

In the lead up to the Splatfest this weekend, it seemed like Team Egg would take the victory. More players had aligned themselves with Team Egg than Team Chicken. However, Team Chicken is evidently better at battling in Splatoon 2. That’s what has allowed them to emerge victorious, if a little ink-splattered.
Players on both sides will be able to claim their rewards for participating now. Of course, Team Chicken is taking the bulk of those rewards for themselves having won the Chicken vs. Egg Splatfest. We’ve yet to receive firm dates for more Splatfests for 2020, but it has been confirmed that there are two more planned before the end of March 2021. Perhaps these too will rehash old battles like Mayo vs. Ketchup. Maybe we’ll get to relive a true classic like Time Travel vs. Teleportation. Stay tuned for announcements.
