NBA 2K18 released on Switch and other platforms last month, but the physical edition of the Switch version did not come out until yesterday (October 17th). Now that the game is available both physically and digitally on Switch, Nintendo has begun promoting it.
The official Nintendo YouTube channel uploaded a launch trailer for NBA 2K18, showing off some gameplay footage that highlights the unique ability to play the game anywhere thanks to the Switch’s hybrid design. Check it out:
In addition to this trailer, a commercial has also been aired in the US showcasing the Switch version of the game. It’s not often that Nintendo promotes multiplatform releases, but its handling of the Switch this year shows that the company really has changed in a lot of good ways.
Which version of the game will you be picking up? Regardless of whether you choose to go physical or digital, keep in mind that a microSD card will be required for additional data to be downloaded and installed. GameStop is offering a small discount on microSD cards when you purchase a physical copy of NBA 2K18 on Switch.
