Charlie Day Luigi says Super Mario movie script is top secret he knows nothing death threat kill him break his neck kneecaps Jimmy Kimmel Live

Whether you love it or it causes you to wake up in a cold sweat in the middle of the night, the animated Super Mario movie at Illumination has a unique Hollywood cast voicing it, with Chris Pratt and Charlie Day playing Mario and Luigi respectively. Recently, Charlie Day appeared on late-night show Jimmy Kimmel Live, where Day said theĀ Mario movie script is “top secret” and joked that the studio and/or Nintendo would break his kneecaps and his neck if he gave anything away about the movie.

Although, as he explained to Kimmel, Day barely knows anything about the Super Mario movie in the first place, despite the fact that he has been going in to do voice sessions (alone, with no other actors) as Luigi. “I’d love to tell you all about it, but they are top secret with this stuff,” said Day. He continued on to say, “I know nothing. I show up, and they’re like, ‘You say this, and you say that.’ And it’s all very funny and good.” And then he joked about two men in overalls with hammers threatening his life with an Italian accent if he says anything about the movie.

We’ve cued up theĀ Jimmy Kimmel interview to the relevant moment of Luigi discussion, the top-secret Super Mario movie script, and death threats with Charlie Day below. Enjoy the mental image of Italian men beating Charlie Day to death on the behalf of Nintendo.
