Season 2 finished the story of Castlevania 3, but the ending left us on a number of cliffhangers. If you don’t want spoilers for that, I suggest you leave now to binge the series first.
Castlevania season 3 seems to be centered around Trevor, though many other characters have story threads that need wrapping up. Just what is Carmilla planning to do with Hector? How will Isaac return from the desert? Is Alucard still moping around the castle? And who is that old dude at the top of the poster?
Normally, I would be hesitant about a video game adaptation going beyond the original’s ending. However, Adi Shankar and his busy, busy team have done such an amazing job filling out the barebones NES story with new characters, new scenarios, and one of the most amazing fight scenes out there that I have no doubt that the next chapter will be just as awesome as the first two. I’m not ashamed to admit that this show got me into Castlevania, a video game series that I’d never enjoyed but had always been on my periphery.
Are you looking forward to Castlevania season 3? Can’t wait to see how Adrian Tepes gets his groove back? Are you just hungry for some crazy vampire action? Let us know!
