There have been several updates on whether or not Call of Duty: Ghosts would remain just a small ball of energy whizzing through the air, but according to the most recent news the update may turn into a full bodied apparition. One rumor came through with Activision teasing about a possible Wii U version as part of the \”next-gen\” console family from which the PlayStation 4 and the next X-box would be in and would be released with the PC, X-box 360, and PlayStation 3 versions.
Eurogamer, said in an article that a Wii U version was most likely going to happen as it had been confirmed. Yet another rumor or update seemed to be the most verifiable as a guy named Jake noticed that Call of Duty: Ghosts was listed for pre-order on Amazon and Gamestop.; however, there was no scan number listed for Wii U.
There was apparently only one online store that listed Call of Duty: Ghosts and an article on Engadget (which is no longer online) stated that the game would appear on PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U, PlayStation 4, and the next Xbox. A release date of November 6, 2013 was given for the game.
At this point there are rumors aplenty and lots of updates. We will keep you posted as we continue on our \”call of duty\” to see if there’s any \”ghosts\” to bust.
* Update Activision has made a statement regarding a Wii U version saying,
\”We don’t have any news for the Wii U at this time, as we aren’t dating next generation platforms yet. Stay tuned.\”
* According to website myNintendonews an apparent \”official\” website with a teaser trailer to Call of Duty: Ghosts with a Wii U logo on the page is a fake. This information was given to myNintendonews from Activision’s community manager.
