The Earth Defense Force series. Literally my ultimate nightmare, the games show us a world ravaged by giant bugs who must be blasted to smithereens. Just days ago, we learned Earth Defense Force 3 is coming to Switch on October 14 in Japan. A port of Earth Defense Force 2 made its way to Japan on July 15, as well. D3Publisher, who just loves a good bug explosion game, just shared the reveal of EDF 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair. It is coming to Switch in Japan in 2022. That’s a lot of EDF titles making their way to Nintendo’s latest console.
EDF 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair is a rerelease of a remaster
Check out a trailer for the original remaster below:
I love the bubbly chatter in this, as well as the graphs. It reminds me of Starship Troopers.
EDF 4.1: The Shadow of New Despair contains over 80 missions, four classes of combatants, and more than 800 weapons. Perfect for blasting arachnids in the face. Also, online co-op play is supported, so you don’t need a couch partner in order to lay the destruction on the beasts wrecking our planet.
