Borderlands 3: Director’s Cut rated for Nintendo Switch by PEGI

2K Gearbox Software PEGI rating Nintendo Switch Borderlands 3: Director's Cut

The European ratings board PEGI (Pan European Game Information) has rated Gearbox Software and 2K Games’ Borderlands 3: Director’s Cut for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox series X, and PC. A director’s cut DLC pack of the game had been previously announced to be launching on April 8 (today), which will include “a brand new raid boss, a series of murder mystery missions, new daily and weekly challenges via Vault Cards, and a cache of never-before-seen, behind-the-scenes content, not to mention new Legendary gear and cosmetic items.”

However, at present, Gearbox and 2K have not officially announced the director’s cut or Borderlands 3 in general for Nintendo Switch. Perhaps that is set to change soon, as it would be strange but not impossible that PEGI made a mistake.

Although it took a while, May 2020 finally saw the release of Borderlands: Game of the Year Edition, Borderlands 2, and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel on Switch in the form of Borderlands Legendary Collection. So there would certainly be precedent for Borderlands 3 to arrive on Switch.

Meanwhile, in the world of film, director Eli Roth and writer Craig Mazin are busy crafting a Borderlands film that will include a shocking number of big names considering how silly the source material can sometimes be.
